Sharon Gilman

Sharon has been a Trustee of NZ Deafblind Association NZ since March 2022. Prior to that, she spent 40 years in secondary education, 30 of these as Deputy Principal. Currently she is Board Chair of Kāpiti Women's Refuge.

She lives on the Kāpiti Coast and her family includes 2 children, their partners and a recent addition of a granddaughter and a puppy.

She is passionate, motivated and (with humour) committed to working alongside board members to further develop excellent governance practice so that they can empower their members to live fulfilling lives.
