Abby brings more than a decade of experience in leadership, advocacy, education, and community development. She is looking forward to learning much more about deafblindness and the unique challenges that it places on all of our community.
Throughout her career, she has worked alongside diverse communities who have experienced marginalisation, supporting people to influence systems, strengthen services, and create meaningful change.
Abby is committed to working in ways that honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi and values inclusive, accessible, and culturally responsive practice.
Abby brings experience working within Te Ao Māori and has strong whānau connections within Pasifika communities. She is committed to listening, learning, and building meaningful relationships founded on respect, trust and inclusion.
